Day 11: I'm grateful to those that have stood in defense for me, for our nation... I know that we would not have the things (material, spiritual, etc) that we are allowed to have if it wasn't for these brave men and women who have given their time, service and in many cases life and/or limb in devotion to preserving the freedoms that we are so privileged as Americans to have, Freedoms that we are so often mistreating/abusing and forgetting have been won at a very dear cost by some. I know that today is Veterans day, so the timing of this thanks is intentional, but I also know that every day I live with the reminders of what sacrifices some have made so that I can have the choices that I make daily and every day I am grateful that there are so many of my family and friends that have been spared the sacrifice of their life for those freedoms that I enjoy.
So today if you do nothing else, buy a cup of coffee for the WWII or Vietnam vet in your neighborhood or even a soldier in uniform going to work... give to a wounded warrior charity... thank a stranger in uniform - They will remember your kindness and know that what they do is not ignored or forgotten!
