Baby Window Shopping

Oh good Lord! So we just got back from J's first real look at baby stuff (we went to Babies'R Us) - that was an interesting experience!! LOL Poor guy got so frustrated!! We started out just looking at Infant car seats, which he just couldn't ever come to terms with understanding that they are the only car seat that have a base that you can clip into so we looked at the convertible car seats to compare.. he didn't like them at all cause they don't have a handle, so back to infant seats. Then moved onto strollers - We test drove the Chicco and Babytrends Jogger, which he liked the Chicco a lot until he tried to fold it (and looked at the price tag) and then he wanted to know where the ones that folded up tiny were. This brought up a whole other round of explanation of the different type of strollers. Playpens were next - totally confused by the different levels, how small they were, and what the bassinet and charger attachment were... then he freaked out and we had to go back to keep a tally of how much things cost total, before we even got to the cribs he's manage to estimate about $1000 dollars half of which were things that he was just totally sure we needed when the baby came home. Cribs brought about a whole other round of explaining - that crib doesn't convert to a toddler or full bed, that bed set doesn't come with that crib it's just there for decoration, mattresses are a separate purchase, etc... I'm giggling the entire time as he's getting more and more frustrated and confused...
